This exercise was to see how effectively we could use the L.A.T.C.H structure to design. We were asked to create a weather forecast for the future. The main challenge within this project was to try to seamlessly transition from each structure to the next. The way I tried to accomplish the task at hand was to create structures with simple, but visually appealing transitions. A couple design decisions that I made helped me to achieve a weather report that flowed well.
I decided to use the structures: Location, Time, Category, and Hierarchy. The structures that I feel best embodied this project were my structures for Hierarchy and Time. I feel that the two structures had seamless transitions and also were visually appealing. Also I liked that I chose to use a organic background for the entire project. It felt more consistent and together.
