For my type specimen book I choose to analyze Helvetica because it is my favorite type family. I used Swiss design elements in the original piece to reference the Swiss history of the typeface. I used letters as shapes and the colors of the Swiss flag to push the theme of Swiss design.
The original project was successful because of the strong layout, color palette and graphic shapes.
It was never made clear that we were supposed to be cataloguing our work until this semester so while I do not have the original book or the files I have recreated images for the essence of the book to be communicated.
