Graphic Design I: Symbol Methodology
I tried to keep all of my designs moderately sophisticated but when that was not possible I would make an effort to keep my symbols relatively simple. In this context, “moderately sophisticated” refers to simple designs that have implied, rather than forced meaning. They are not too abrasive but get the point across. For these I chose to utilize negative space to create a more fluid form. While these wouldn’t necessarily work together as a set, they are fairly effective on an individual basis and have distinct enough styles that they could fit in other specific sets.
