During this project I was able to show how I interpret gestalt and used it to create my images. My photographs below show how gestalts principles come together to create an image as a whole. In all the neon signs you can see that all the lines and curvatures in the letters create the image. Walking down South Congress I noticed a lot of repetition on the walls and poles all around, almost making a texture out of the different principles. The majority of the rest of the images use a lot of repetition, proximity and closure to again really create the picture and give that texture look to them. Now walking down South Congress I notice more and more of the gestalt principles coming into play when looking around, something I think many people tend to look over.
