There is a tension between movement and stillness. In my photographs I wanted to represent the tension between the constant movement and development of South Congress and the stillness of what stays the same. Using the gestalt principles, I paired photographs with movement and stillness next to each other. The feeling of each is different but they also relate to each other through similar lines or angles. With gestalt in mind I thought about how two images seemingly opposite could be similar and how as a pair they could be stronger.
