We’d like to introduce you to one of our Alumni Sustainability Champions: Alisha Multer ’13! After graduating from St. Edward’s, Alisha went to graduate school for water management at Texas A&M. Since then, she’s accepted a job working for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). It’s at TCEQ where she ensures the sustainable water usage on the Concho River (part of the Colorado river basin). Aside from her very important job, she participates in the single-stream recycling program in her town and gets her electricity from Green Mountain Energy, which uses 100% renewable energy (solar and wind) to provide energy for their customers.
We treasure sharing the stories of our graduates who are making a difference in the lives of so many people and invite you too to send us your story. To submit a nomination, please email the Sustainability Coordinator with the nominee’s name, graduation year, and a few green accomplishments.
