Environmental Science and Policy major and peer health educator Karrie Newton ’18 is conducting research about public green spaces (parks, etc) in Austin. Drawing from the well-established role that exposure to nature (especially in urban settings) is extremely important to human health, her goal is to determine what factors are most important in influencing people’s decisions to visit green spaces (or not).
Let’s help her get substantial data for her research project. Answer the 5-minute completely anonymous online survey (IRB-approved) by the end of October. She is seeking input from student, faculty, and staff.
Please email Karrie or her research advisor, Dr. Amy Concilio, if you have any questions.
