Want to know more about CSA boxes? Here’s your FAQ.

What does CSA mean?

CSA stands for community-supported agriculture. It is a direct partnership between you the consumer and our farm. You are ensured high-quality local produce harvested directly from JBG’s fertile and certified organic vegetable fields located along the Colorado River just east of Austin.

What’s inside the box?

Each delivery is filled with seasonal certified organic vegetables, fruits and herbs bursting with flavor and freshly harvested from our fields. All of the vegetables in the CSA box come from Johnson’s Backyard Garden directly and are certified organic. JBG selects 100% of the vegetable varieties they grow based upon flavor, fruit abundance, and adaptability. You can see what was in recent boxes on JBG’s site or on their Instagram.

You’ll also find a picture and recipe filled weekly newsletter that includes details about how to handle and store your produce. Each week you’ll also get news from the farm and events and happenings in the local Austin food and farming community.

How do I sign up?

Sign up for your box at the link here. Your information will be shared with Bon Appétit, who is managing the program.

Where do I pick up the box?

Your box will be available for pick up at the cafe at Hunt Hall. Please bring a reusable bag to take your produce. JBG will be collecting boxes to reuse and minimize waste.

How do I pay?

You can pay for your weekly box with Topper Tender, cash, or credit card. If you pay with Topper Tender, you will save an extra 5%!
