The next time you’re on campus, take a second to look up. Over 95% of the walkway lights in the core campus have been replaced with LED lights. Facilities has been working to replace the remaining existing lights and converting them to LED lights. All new street lights that are installed are LED.
Why LEDs?
LED lights require less energy, are more efficient, and last much longer than traditional lighting. The switch will help the university save money and conserve resources.
