Facilities has launched two new programs that benefit our grounds in sustainable ways.
The first turns your daily coffee habit into long-lasting good! In partnership with Bon Appétit and Jo’s Coffee, used coffee grounds are placed into a composting setup on campus and then used in our garden and for lawn care maintenance.
Facilities has also been collecting tree trimmings to be chipped and used as mulch instead of taking it to the landfill. By collecting the tree trimmings and reusing them on campus, Facilities is saving over 240 trips to the landfill and over $10,000 each year in dumping fees!
These are just a few of the ways that Facilities is helping to keep our campus beautiful!
