Tell us about the course and how you chose this project?
Jake Prengler: The course is project based around the creation and adaption of our own specific campaigns. There are 5 campaigns in her class, 4 of which revolves around the topic of Sustainability. We chose this topic based on a marketing objective to promote a Sustainable Lifestyle through our #SmallStepsBigChange Campaign.
What has been the most important thing or a surprising thing you’ve learned from this project?
Jake Prengler: This project has shifted my ideology based on the fact that small steps can create a big change, especially when it comes to living a sustainable lifestyle. It is surprising to me about the size of the sustainability movement which is a lot larger than expected. Luckily with this campaign we are not asking people to move mountains or even spend a lot of money, all we are trying to do is to promote the lifestyle, through daily tips, keeping the public informed and introducing them to cutting edge products which in the long run will be cheaper and less impactful on the environment (reusable straws, etc.)
