When it’s time to say goodbye to your old computer, monitor, or hardware, the Office of Information Technology can help you get it to a recycling facility.
OIT partners with ATX Global Trading and Apple’s GiveBack program to recycle and repurpose computer parts. ATX Global Trading believes in reducing, reusing, and recycling and will find the best option for devices nearing their end of life. Through Apple’s program, rare earth metals that cannot be sustainably mined or produced are removed and put back into the supply chain for new devices. Apple is working towards making products using only renewable resources or recycled materials and this is one way you can help reduce demand for new materials.
