Over the past 6 weeks, 27 St. Edward’s University students conducted their summer research projects at Wild Basin. The students have explored biodiversity, ecosystem services, and habitat management at the preserve, with project topics ranging soil microbiomes and vegetation communities, to water quality and nest predation. In the meantime, a team of computer science students has been working hard on campus to develop a web-based digital database for Wild Basin. Please join us in the Carter Auditorium, JBWS 186, to learn about the students’ work and their exciting findings!
Wild Basin-related talks run from 8:30-11:10, with additional Wild Basin posters on display during the lunch break.
