Blessing of the Animals/Pets – St. Francis of Assisi Festivities

St. Francis reminds us that we are called to bring about justice and peace in our world, to end violence, war, poverty and oppression, and to protect our fragile planet. Pet owners everywhere celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi this week by having their pets blessed. Campus Ministry and the Rev. Jenny Veninga will be hosting a time for your pet to receive a blessing. Dogs must be leashed. You are also welcome to bring a photo of a pet to be blessed.

Join us Thursday Oct. 2, 5:30-6:30 p.m., Sorin Oak

“In the Footprints of Francis and the Sultan: A Model for Peacemaking” Film Screening

Monday, Oct. 6, 7-9 p.m., Maloney Room in Main Building

Take the St. Francis Pledge and Commit to Climate Change

Through his example, St. Francis reminds us that we are called to bring about justice and peace in our world, to end violence and war, poverty and oppression, and to protect our fragile planet.
