Second SEU student wins $1,500 Scholarship from National Recycling Coalition + SXSW Eco Ambassador

Last month, we shared with you that Janelle Sylvester ’14, Environmental Science and Policy major and co-president of Students for Sustainability, won a National Recycling Coalition scholarship. Every year the National Recycling Coalition, Inc. (NCR) awards scholarships to students in environmental studies who are interested in the recycling field.

Recently, we learned that New College student, Jeremy Croke ’13 won a second National Recycling Coalition scholarship! Two of the three scholarship recipients were St. Edward’s University students!

Jeremy was also selected to be a campus ambassador for the SXSW Eco Conference that will be held on October 3-5, 2012, in Austin. Soon, you should see SXSW Eco Conference posters around campus! Stay tuned!
