Students United is an organization focused on creating STEM-based education available to underprivileged areas in the state of Texas. A STEM education is essential for the development of the next generation. As we create access to STEM education, we can help ensure that each and every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Students United also focuses on creating a more inclusive environment. Bilingual children and their families often face challenges navigating the education system. It is our goal to create an environment that is welcoming and supportive of their needs.
Meet our Team
Emily – Team Leader
A native ‘Austinite’, currently studying to achieve a Communication degree with a focus on Critical Media Studies. Providing the foundation to understand and analyze media industries, messages, and audiences. Taking on the role of Overall Team Leader which includes running team meetings, overseeing the team calendar, assisting with the situation development process, and managing overall campaign branding.
PABLO – Organizational Analysis Leader
Studied Journalism for three years at Universidad de Los Andes in Chile and Major In Communication with a concentration in PR & Advertising. Knowledge in content creation for social media, writing news articles and reports, and interpersonal and intercultural communication. Currently responsible for the creation of an analysis of the situation of the organization and market.
AMANDA – WordPress Leader
From San Antonio, TX, where she received her Associate of Arts from Palo Alto College in 2022. Currently seeking out a Communication degree with a focus on Critical Media Studies at St. Edward’s University. Has taken the role of Students United’s WordPress Leader developing the team’s WordPress site, administrating plug-ins, and providing technical support.
ALEXIS – WordPress Support, Twitter, Instagram, Engagement & Reporting Leader
Born and raised in Austin, Tx. Currently studying to achieve a major in Communication with a focus on PR and Advertising. Bringing creativity and knowledge to social media content creation. Currently in charge of Students United’s Twitter and Instagram page. Engagement and Reporting Leader and providing support to our WordPress Leader.
SOFIA – Presentation Leader
An Advocate of glorious vibes and good music taste, radiant and positive personality. A fighter and a caring humble human being. An Organized and creative St.Edward’s University International student (El Salvador) with proven marketing and communication skills, With the desire to learn and keep expanding my knowledge. 5+ Years of experience when it comes to group organizations, Publication data, social media & speech competitions.
