This projects purpose was to create a website using only text for a place in Austin. My place was Laguna Gloria, a historical site and sculpture garden. The site is very elegant and green. It is frequently used for weddings and parties because of its atmosphere and greenery. I wanted to emulate the simplicity and natural feel that Laguna Gloria has. I used colors from the site itself in order to make my website.
Since we couldn’t use images in the project, I used type glyphs to act as placeholders. I decided to use glyphs to represent the sculptures featured at the site. Luckily I was able to find glyphs that were both simple and elegant to represent the beautiful sculptures and brand of the site.
