Part 1:

Tuan’s work was really interesting to get to see. Designing for friends and family seems like a lot of fun. I especially liked the tea boxes, coloring book, and collaborations with other artists. His designs are really amazing.

Hollis’s drawings and sculptures are beautiful. The comic about her life is really interesting. I like how she creates everything using ink, so that any mistakes have to be dealt with. The natural disaster pieces are so intricate and beautiful. The found object sculptures are also very cool.

Bill’s progression from landscape to portraits to commercial photography to abstract stuff is really neat. The black and white photographs of nature are wonderful. The water photos are amazing. It’s so interesting what effects a long exposure will cause. The abstract photographs of New Mexico were especially beautiful. Making something new out of something completely different is such a wonderful concept.

Part 2:

In 5 years I hope to-

• be a book cover/tv and movie poster designer
• create art for fun
