Slacker!

I looooooove Music!  When it comes to music, I love to listen to a great variety that contain different genres, new songs, old songs, well known artist, and artists who are still working their way up.  Yet when I tune in to my local radio stations, I tend to hear the mainstream songs, songs that  are a hit at the moment, and they get repeated over and over again.  I mean I love to listen to these songs, but as a music lover, I need more than just “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore, “Locked out of Heaven” by Bruno Mars, “Scream & Shout” by Will.I.Am & Britney or “I Knew You Were Trouble” by Taylor Swift.  I mean they are all great songs, if they weren’t they would not be listed among the top 5 of the Hot 100 in the Billboard charts of the week.

I have tried Pandora, a music genome project that allows you to get customized radio stations online, yet even then, not much of a variety occurs, I tend to hear the same songs from same artist.  I mean there is just so much music out there, but how are we to know of it if we don’t get that extra variety from the stations we hear.

As I got tired of listening to the same songs on Pandora, I began to search for a new type of online radio station that is somewhat similar to Pandora.  It was in this moment when my good friend, who happens to be a music lover and a musician recommended Slacker.  Slacker, even though the name sounds like a lazy online radio station, is actually quite good.

It has 10 times more music than what Pandora does, 200+ expert programmed stations that Spotify can’t get, and can get personalized, something Sirius XM can’t seem to do.  That’s pretty impressive, so don’t let the “Slacker” name fool you.

Slacker

I only have one day using it, and I am in love with it.  It allows me to customize it more in comparison to Pandora.  It has played good old songs, with current trendy ones, along with some songs I had never heard before.  It gives me the opportunity to discover new songs that have yet to top the charts and remember old hits that are being forgotten through time.

Not only does it give you good music, it even has a list of what is HOT currently on Slacker, you could also see what your friends are listening to at the moment, Artist of the Week, and recommended stations.  They even have links to their “Slacker Blog” where they talk about music related topics like the Grammy’s and much more!  The blog is not the only means in which they reach out to their listeners, they also have  Instagram, Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts!

You can even log into your Slacker account by using your Facebook or Twitter account.  It is amazing!  Slacker has integrated all these social networking sites into their music loving page, which keeps their listeners tuned in.  I am in love with this Slacker!

So if you find yourself getting bored and tired of hearing the same songs over and over, go on to Slacker.com and sit back and enjoy the music.
