Health Benefits of Organization

We all have those days, weeks or months where we feel out-of-sorts and just can’t get out of that “funk.”  One of the best ways I’ve discovered to get rid of the funk is to get organized.  Whether it’s cleaning out a cabinet, organizing my weekly schedule, meal prepping or knocking out a few tasks on my to-do list, I find this clears my mind, I feel refreshed, accomplished and ready for a new day or week to begin.

 

An article by Paige Fowler (n.d.) in SHAPE.COM explains how piles of laundry and endless to-dos are not only exhausting, but can actually mess with all aspects of your life.” Her article  ‘How Cleaning and Organizing Can Improve Your Physical and Mental Health’ explores how organization has been proven to reduce stress and depression, help you eat better and stick to your workouts, improve your relationships, boost your productivity, help you lose weight and sleep better.
