Breast cancer is by far the most common cancer in women in the western world. In 90% of breast cancers, environmental factors are among the causes. They compete with certain nutrients and interfere with hormone signaling by telling cells to die prematurely, binding to essential hormones, or accumulating in organs that produce hormones (Meal, 2017).
