My first year at college involved no drinking, a lot of prayer circles, and five hour exams. This is not an experience I recommend to others.
My brain, / my prized possession. / My creativity, / my reason for living… / Gone.
I sit / holding back tears / failing.
No fit of rage or gaze of wonder / Does a true poet fall asunder
It’s not what will I take but who will I take. I just didn’t want to admit it, because I can’t save them all.
Looking at you now, rigid and perfect, / I almost forget how your sacred boy once / pushed against your insides while rehearsing the stations

“Make sure you have the best technical skills you can possibly have, and you really have to love your work enough to kill yourself working at it. I am a big critic towards myself and I think it’s great. Honestly, if you don’t love it then don’t do it.”
