“I like skateboarding because it’s an escape from everyday life. I can skate and any negative things in my life are replaced by the concentration of riding. It’s also a visual representation that is practical to life, through progress I have accomplished things I thought were once impossible and it’s a reflection of life. It shows that through hard work and dedication you can conquer anything you put your mind to. I started skating around fourth grade after seeing one of my neighbors skating down the neighborhood, I saw it as a way of escaping mainstream sports and have ever since enjoyed it.”
