She is dead now
Dead to me
She is gone now
Gone from memory
Her life was sweet
Her love too deep
Eventually she could not keep
From loving him
From loving HIM
He stole her heart
Her glowing light
He killed her will
Broke all her might
She could not see
What lies he breathed
What truth he told
He would deceive
He would DECEIVE
I want her back
Return to me
All the sweet, sweet
Memories
He should be gone
He needs to flee
Because she is dead
Dead to me
Kiva,
Great. I think of your memoir and read this as grief for one’s lost innocence, but it can be read in other ways. –Dr G
Kiva,
This is great poem of the loss of someone you loved. I found it extremely expressive and moving. Your imagery made me feel as if I knew the person as well.
