So for this blog I finally got to visit a place I’ve been dying to see for so long. McKinney Falls state park. I went March 28th around 3:30, left around 7 and wow I’m so glad I did. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. Perfect blue, empty skies. A nice breeze and it was 79 degrees outside. Very sunny day as well. It was a decently packed day, but yet the place was so big it didn’t even feel that crowded. A lot of families walking around enjoying the nice scenery. Birds were chirping every where singing a sweet melody. The rapids were roaring and flowing through out the river creating a strong current in the water while also simultaneously crashing into the rocks and creating a loud noise. A lot of turtles and fish in the water. Numerous people as well having picnics on the rocky beaches and ground. Not to mention I was in a great mood before and while I was there. Dogs walking all over with their owners. Because of the drought it was sad but interesting to see how the falls changed due to the drought. Overall It was a wonderful day and I’m so happy I went. “A March morning is only as drab as he who walks in it without a glance skyward.” -ASCA pg 18
