Time Tracker (2)
Tracking my time for week has made me realize that I should stop watching so much tv. My schedule seems pretty busy with school and work, and most of the time it is. But I still manage to fit in my time to practice shooting and study.

I chose these three photos of my work to display. The first two are shot on 35mm. It was when I had first starting working with 35 mm, and it blew my mind. I think it was the patience that was required that intrigued me. Not only that, but the grainy texture of the photo just made the finish project much astounding. The third photo is shot with a DSLR. I use to edit my photos to where they always had a soft yellow in them. I was addicted to this soft yellow, but now that I look back at it.. what was I thinking?! At this point in my photography life, I was trying to represent some sort of magical candidness in my photos. Which seemed much easier to represent with film, at least for me. It’s probably because it didn’t seem as instant and took more thought, rather than shooting digital. © 2012, Leah Ann Ortiz
