The assignment was to choose a dynamic onomatopoeia word and then create a piece of work of that word within a representation of the meaning of the word itself. I chose the word “drip”. I first created 15 different ways to represent the word “drip” by hand. I decided on the top strongest and then created all of them on Illustrator. The top 5 were very different from one another, some were more abstract and others were fairly obvious. In the end, I decided to choose the one that was easiest to grasp. I did fulfill the requirements. At the time I didn’t know much about Illustrator, therefore this piece of work would not represent the kind of work I would do now. Therefore I believe the design is very simple, which follows along the route I decided to go when I took an obvious approach instead of more abstract.
