I think i am starting to get a better understanding of what exactly my style is. My visual language that I want to get across time and time again. The more projects I do, the closer I get to a consistent style. These projects represent that style the most. Im willing to explore other territories artistically but without changing up my own look. I believe it shows in these 3 works. They are all different but still (I believe) look like the same artist did them.

I believe my strengths are within my ability to stray away from too much repetition without a project being “all over the place”. I try to change things up visually but am still able to make it all work together. In the beginning (the poster) I found myself wanting to fill up the pages entirely. I still enjoy doing so but respecting the negative space more often now. I enjoy making a clean look but still fun and colorful. I believe I accomplished that in these three projects.

I also believe there is always room for improvement. In this case I wish i had the time to really take these projects to the next level. Although I do have a problem in that sense with over editing and second guessing myself. I change up little bits over and over to the point where the original design couldn’t be spotted any longer. I definitely have to get better with that aspect as well.

Most importantly I have learned the power of time management regarding all of these projects. But also having an idea and imagining the outcome and having the skill and tools necessary to follow through to the end successfully. The poster I chose I am happy with but If I had done that project now as opposed to a year ago there are things about it that would definitely be different. Because at that point I didn’t possess the skills to get it there. I have the knowledge to make what I want and know what i want aesthetically to happen.
