Hey, curlfriends! I know, as natural girls we have a love-hate relationship with shampoos. If we are being completely honest, its more of a hate relationship. Ever since I’ve transitioned to wearing my hair curly the majority of the time I’ve found that I cannot find a shampoo that works for my hair the way I want. They either strip my hair of all its moisture or doesn’t clean it enough. It’s a losing battle, it seems. Lucky for you I’ve done countless research and have found ways to make shampoo work for us naturalistas.

This chart by Lifestylezz shows different types of oils and other products you can add to your shampoo to improve its production. I personally am a big fan of aloe vera which is listed below. I find it works really well in my dry, curly hair.

Alma and raw honey are also two other really good products for natural hair. Amla strengthens the scalp and hair and also reduces hair loss. Raw honey is a natural humectant and draws moisture into the hair. It is great when used as a deep conditioner.

Try adding any of the above from Lifestylezz to your hair care routine and let me know how it turns out.
