Max’s first feature length film, The Bloc, was filmed in Poland last year. It premiered at the Austin Film Festival this year. Finding it difficult to fit a story into a small time frame, Max doesn’t have much interest in short films. Max plans to return to Poland to film his next movie, which is currently in the works. While the ability to direct is important, there is another factor to directing that many don’t consider: writing. Being able to put together a script that is worth the huge time investment that comes with film making can advance a director professionally.
