JOURNEY TO THE THIRD COAST – As one of the fastest growing cities in America, people, mostly young professionals, are flocking to Austin.  But there is another demographic moving here in an attempt to start over. This is a story about the refugee population in Austin.  It starts with the story of Dogon Sedigy who was the sole survivor of his family, who was brutally murdered in Africa, and was raised in a refugee camp there.  The story will then follow the journey of refugees that have fled their native countries and have sought refuge in Austin through interviews with local non-profits that help relocate refugees from around the world and connect them with social services.
