For these two 3D collages images I used materials that I found on South Congress to help me illustrate two different sides of Austin. The image on the left illustrates how austin is a very social media friendly city, where you can always find people on their phones and Instagram. The man portrays the hipster side of the city and how fashion is portrayed. The image on the right focuses more on the political, social and environmental side of the city. Initially I wasn’t sure what to do for the collages, but I figured it would be more interesting to do more symbolism. Finding the materials was the hardest part, because There wasn’t one newspaper downtown that had all I wanted.
