Hi everyone! I’m Bella McClelland, an Austin-based graduate student pursuing my Master’s degree in Digital Marketing and Analytics at St.Edward’s University, a lifelong creative of many mediums, and, of course, a broke college student! This is why, through The Digital Blueprint, a blog created for a course in my master’s program, I intend to share affordable digital marketing resources; whether you’re a beginner or are just looking to level up your career a bit, there’ll be something for you!

Because let’s be honest, during a time when “pro” marketers are selling $500+ digital marketing guides that they bought with resell rights, I wanted to shine some light on the wide selection of free resources so many people don’t give the credit they deserve. So, for the next six weeks, I plan to share my favorite free digital marketing resources, from certifications you can complete in a weekend to apps to simplify your content creation, you’re sure to find something new to check out!

Keep in mind that although these resources are free, they may have paid counterparts, but everything I’m sharing has a good base version, which is truly all you need to get started or try out a new platform. Additionally, let’s be real, these days, digital marketing isn’t just SEO and having a nice website or decent Twitter (I know it’s X, I just can’t…) following, it’s doing content creation, social media management, analytics work, having solid copywriting skills, and so much more, which is why I’m sharing some of my favorite resources I’ve found along the way that I WISH I had at the beginning of my digital marketing journey. Plus, I’ll be honest with you, it can be helpful to bookmark this article for future reference, that way you aren’t starting your resource search from scratch when you’re looking to try out a new platform or certificate.
