Well, recently Sustainability Kits have started to become a trend with today’s generation. In this blog, we will list what should go into your Sustainability Kit that will come with you everywhere you go! That way, you can reduce your waste and lower your carbon footprint.
1. Portable Reusable Utensil Set
If you have a spoon, a fork, and a reusable straw at home, you are already one step closer to being more sustainably conscious. One way to pack all of these utensils is in a plastic pencil case you can grab at a dollar store. Bring a reusable cup everywhere you go will reduce your urge to buy a one-use plastic water bottle. Carrying a water bottle everywhere will also help increase your intake of water throughout the day. There are many benefits to drinking more water in the day such as weight loss and a better mood. Not only that, but a reusable water bottle lowers your carbon footprint and lowers the amount of trash that ends up in landfills.
3. Microfiber Cloth
Many of us use one-time-use napkins. However, we can use microfiber cloths for the cleaning we do inside and outside our homes. Microfiber cloths are 100% going to save you money in the long run because it is a one time buy. Unlike paper towel rolls where we have to buy them again once we run out, microfiber cloths last for a long time. On top of that, they do not carry harmful chemicals that can affect you. They clean up almost 99% of bacteria because the microfibers can hold clean up and hold spills, dust, etc.
4. Reusable Bags
Is it any surprise that this would be apart of the Sustainable Kit? We all have been there when we get to the grocery store, and by then we realize we left our bags at home. However, if we create a Sustainability Kit, we can store all of our sustainable products in our reusable bags. We can store more reusable bags inside the reusable bag! What a concept.
Sustainable Kits are slowly becoming more and more popular. And for good reasons as well. Hopefully, in the future, influencers can show off their Kits and have them slowly become more of a trend. It will encourage the youth to become more sustainable, environmentally friendly, and lower their carbon footprint.
