About Me

I have been sentient for a little less than twenty years. In that time I have found that, of all my abilities, writing brings me the most joy. My parents encouraged reading from the very beginning. Trips to the library were a frequent and fond pleasure in my childhood. I have always been amazed by the power of language and idolized those who could wield that power. The idea of becoming a writer did not enter into my head until the fourth grade. Up until that point I had always hate writing because I have dyslexia. I thought that this meant I could never write well. My fourth grade teacher changed that when she told me how impressed she was with a story I had written for class. She was the first person to suggest that I write a book. Now, I am a Sophomore at St. Edward’s University studying to master the craft of Creative Writing. Before that I graduated Suma Cum Laude from Stony Point High School in Round Rock where I worked on and was published in the school’s literary magazine. After I graduate St. Edward’s I hope to attend graduate school where I will study Linguistics or perhaps continue with Creative Writing.
