After a long trip by plane, we finally arrived in Bangkok, in Thailand. As my parents, my sister and I walked out of the plane the first thing we notice was the temperature. At that time, in February in France the weather was really bad, it was cloudy and really cold. We traveled to very different hot country but never. But here it was so hot that we felt like in an hoven. We took a cab from the airport to go to our hotel. During the ride I looked out of the window to have a first impression of this new city. It was no as dirty as I expected it even seems pretty clean. We finally arrived in front of our hotel after a short ride – not because of the distance but because the taxi drivers drive as fast as in “Fast and Furious”.
The hotel was the most beautiful one I have even been, to and we have not get in yet and neither on the 30th floor that had a pool. I felt like a Hollywood Star. I had star in my eyes and looked everywhere. We got in our room that was so big that a family of 6 could have sleep there. My sister and I could not wait any second to see the swimming pool with a wonderful view of the city. We went up to the 30th floor and here it was. A big pool surrounding of window were you could see every building, every one from the top. We could say that we were on top of the world. Even if that swimming and getting tan were the only thing I wanted to do right now, because of the jet lag, we finally decided to but summer clothes and go down in the street to get a better felling of the atmosphere.
As we were walking around I remember what I thought about Thailand before we got there. I thought that they would be no car and just tooc-tooc. But that was not true at all. People were driving cars and even big and pretty car. I thought that the country was really poor, and that they did not had big houses. But when we walked around the street we saw wonderful house. I also discover the best thing ever on the street. All around it there were food-truck with fresh fruit for just 1$. The second thing that I notice, as we took the tram, is that it was really clean and that their were air condition on the tram, which, when you come from France especially when you have been to Paris, is a WONDERFULL thing.
After few days spending in Bangkok with the friend of my father who live there for 5 years. He proposed to us to go a little bit away from Bangkok, in his wife’s town. I was really exited because it was going to be really different!
