A possible solution for combating the arts funding inequity would be for better-funded mainstream companies to share the wealth by co-producing star-powered productions of well-known titles with small companies of color in their communities. This way, even though federal funding is still prioritized to the majority arts organizations, the minority arts organizations will gain access to more production opportunities and exposure to new, larger audiences that will better equip them for attracting more support from private donors. As a result, these minority arts organizations will be in more stable conditions to remain viable.
