I am flexible when presented with an unanticipated event or situation and adapt my instruction based on ongoing assessment of student performance.
Reflection:
During the middle of my student teaching I was faced with a dilemma. A third of the students would be testing. For the half that were not, instead of moving on with new material I organized the construction of a butterfly garden and native habitat restoration. We were in the middle of an evolution unit, so adaptation, interdependence and ecology fit in.
