Student Teaching is the culminating experience of the Teacher Preparation Program.   Students  are placed on a supportive campus with master teachers who guide & mentor students that have completed course work at St. Edward’s University as well as  internships with partner schools in preparation for this capstone experience.  Student Teachers gradually assume all of the duties of the sponsoring co-operating teacher  for a thirteen week teaching experience.  This practicum  provides student teachers the opportunity to apply what they have learned throughout their preparation for a professional career in education.
