Engaging in Learner-Centered Content

The prepared teacher understands the central concepts of their chosen content discipline, the structure of the discipline and the tools needed to relate the concepts effectively in the classroom. The teacher is able to create learning experiences that make the subject matter meaningful to students.

My ability to communicate about my content area using effective and age-appropriate pedagogical techniques is demonstrated in my attached lesson plan and elaborated upon in my reflection. Additionally, the appropriate assessment necessary to grade each project is demonstrated in my attached rubric and elaborated upon in my reflection.
