I am expected to graduate December 17, 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language Arts and Reading with certification in Early Childhood-6 ESL Generalist. My GPA is currently a 3.69, but I am hoping to raise it to a 3.7 this semester in order to graduate Magna Cum Laude.

I have gained semester-long experiences in field placements from Sunset Valley Elementary School (Kindergarten), Travis Heights Elementary School (1st grade), Dawson Elementary School (2nd grade), and Linder Elementary School (5th grade).

I was chosen by St. Edward’s University School of Education faculty to represent the students in an interview with Fox 7 News about the teaching job market in Austin.

I recently got married and we have a chocolate labrador. I enjoy reading, learning, going to dog parks, cooking, writing short stories, practicing yoga, and being around children.
