Domain II. Creating a Postive, Productive Classroom Environment
Artifact I
In my Teach Science course we practiced creating a variety of science experiments to enhance science concepts in the elementary classroom. These projects will promote excitement, create positive learning environments, and encourage students to think creatively. I also created a lesson plan to accompany a chemical reaction experiment on volcanoes to reinforce CALPS proficiencies, and create meaningful connections for culturally diverse learners.
Artifact II
This is a motivational read aloud lesson I created for the book The Legend of the Bluebonnet by Tomie DePaola. It is versatile book for teaching concepts such as Texas History, selfishness, and forgiveness. This lesson engaged students with interactive discussion questions that helped children develop self control when answering question to create a positive and productive learning environment.
