Domain IV: Fulfilling Professional Roles and Responsibilities

Artifact 1: I am a member of this group on Facebook which I really enjoy and find interesting. The group is called ELT Teachers, Lesson Plans, Ideas, Resources, Materials. This group is very beneficial to all English teachers no matter what grade you are teaching. It is a group where teachers all around the world share ideas about lesson plans or resources for lessons. I like this page on Facebook because it would be very beneficial for me as I start out my first year of teaching.

Artifact 2: Another group I am a member of is known as Wise Guys. This is a group on Facebook and it is for Elementary and Secondary Teachers. It provides resources and lesson plans. What I like about this group is that the lesson plans are specifically designed to fit the TEKS or the standards. Whenever the standards change, the lesson plans then adopt to those changes so you are always getting an accurate lesson.

Artifact 3: I was apart of this program at a local elementary school known as H.O.T.S. Every Tuesday and Thursday I would go to this school and help a student with their reading. We would read books and play games related to reading or creating words. This was very beneficial to me because it allowed me to play the role of teacher and get experience with working with students who have trouble reading. The students ranged from Kindergarten to 5th grade so I was able to get a variety of students.
