The Happiest Hours in Austin

The day has finally come…I’m finally 21! Okay so it happened a little over two weeks ago but that’s besides the point. I am now qualified for a horizontal driver’s license in the great state of Texas! Oh, and I can buy/drink alcohol! This year my birthday was on Sunday but that did not stop me from partying. My friends and I went to Rudy’s Country Store & Bar-B-Q for a little celebratory dinner on Saturday…can you say food coma? After that, everyone went back to their place to nap (yes, really) to get ready to head to good, ol’ 6th Street at midnight. Needless to say, it was a very eventful night and I feel so blessed to have the best friends!

My first legal pitcher! And a rose my boyfriend bought me on 6th…what a sweetheart 🙂

Since I’m 21 and all I figured I would do a celebratory blog post featuring the best happy hours in Austin just in time for this chilly weather so check it out and warm up with a drink! I guess I can consider this a bucket list of some sort also 😛

I think the most popular place to go to for happy hour in Austin has got to be Trudy’s Tex-Mex Restaurant. Literally, I mean literally everyone talks about it, especially at St. Edward’s. Rather than having a set hours with discounted drinks, they have different specials every day. Today, they have $6.00 Mexican Martinis & $4.00 Famous House Margaritas. I went to Trudy’s for my friend Kelsey’s 21st birthday where I bought her a Mexican Martini and let me tell you, those things are strooong! Check out there other happy hour specials here.

With happy hour all day on Mondays how could you say no? For the rest of the week, it’s 4-7 PM, not including weekends. During their happy hour, you get half off selected appetizers, $2.75 frozen margaritas, $2.99 frozen Jack & lemonades, and $2.50 tall boys. Their food is delicious and they also have a pet friendly patio for your furry friends. Check out their website here.

Cheap sushi and cheap drinks are two things I cannot refuse, especially when they come together. Imperia features 2 for 1 sushi, $5 select Dim Sum and small plates, $5 specialty cocktails and martinis, as well as $3 Miller Lite and Shiner Bock. I’ve been craving sushi so bad I may just have to go here tomorrow. Their happy hour runs weekdays from 4:30-7 PM. Check them out here.

Where’s your favorite  happy hour place? Let me know!
