The wait is over! This past summer, H&M officially announced that they will be opening a brand new store located in the Domain which is in the heart of Austin’s northwest corridor. Well, it’s been about 4-5 months and they are finally opening THIS Saturday! It’s basically like Christmas in November.
H&M is a Swedish multi-nationl retail-clothing company known for having trendy looks at reasonable prices. Shirts for men and women start at about $15, women’s dresses can be bought for $25 and men’s jackets are priced at $35 and up.
Their new store will be located near Macy’s and will have two stories and over 24,000 square feet of apparel for men, women, and even children. Word on the street is that they are even including a maternity section as well as a lingerie section! The new store will start welcoming shoppers at noon; their normal hours are as follows: 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. Monday-Saturday and 12 P.M. to 6 P.M on Sundays.
In order of celebrating the first ever H&M store in Austin, they will be giving out free t-shirts and gift cards worth as much as $500 for the first 500 customers in line so you better get there early! When the H&M opened in Houston, there were over 1,000 fashionistas lined up around the mall and even outside! My aunt was one of those people. She got there at 6 A.M. (yes, you read that right) and she still wasn’t the first in line so don’t forget to set your alarms!
