In college, its difficult to find time between studying, social life, class, and sleep. It may seem like there’s just not enough time in the day to set aside 30 minutes to go to the gym.

These tips may help to get you up and active while also balancing everything else in a student’s life.

If we add up all the time spent on phones or finishing text messages, it would really add up. Adding in 30 minutes -or even 15- for a workout is a lot easier than you may think.

1.) Get up earlier in the morning.

While this may seem like the least popular option, it is by far the most effective. Waking up an extra 30 minutes will not take away from much of your sleep cycle at all, and will help to energize you for your day and as well as start out productive.

2.) Workout In Between Classes.

Most likely you will have two classes that are too close together to do another activity, but just long enough to go home for 30-45 minutes before having to go back. This is prime exercise time, even if that just means a quick at-home workout before rushing back to campus. This will also keep you going through the rest of your day!

3.) Exercise with friends.

If exercising is not the most enjoyable thing for you, attend classes or go on a run with your friends. This can help to make the activity more enjoyable, and also pass the time quicker. Its easier to plan these things with friends because chances are, you have similar schedules. It doesn’t hurt that you were already probably planning on hanging out with them.
