To make this Interactive Map, I used a KML file (school districts shapefile) which came from the Texas Education Agency (2013-2014). I also used data from an XLS spreadsheet on school district poverty estimates (2014) from the U.S. Census Bureau.
There are eight school districts in Anderson County with their calculated poverty percentages next to them:
Cayuga Independent School District (18.28%)
Elkhart Independent School District (18.91%)
Frankston Independent School District (21.45%)
LaPoynor Independent School District (24.95%)
Neches Independent School District (15.93%)
Palestine Independent School District (28.63%)
Slocum Independent School District (14.91%)
Westwood Independent School District (23.44%)
