Guitar Moves with Keith Richards: “There’s Two Sides to Every Story”
This is really relateable to me even though I don’t play guitar, I do play violin. The video talks about how you have to learn the basics before you can start doing any ‘tricks’ and I agree 100%. I love playing the violin and all but, I wouldn’t be able to learn cool song like I know now without knowing the basics. At the same time I’m limited because I know how to play by ear, but not by reading the notes.
I like the stories that Keith Richards tells. They are insightful to his life because they kind of show how a guitarist thinks how they grew up thinking. I like how he said that when he was in his teenage years he focused on guitar instead of relationships and stuff.
They make a lot of references to other people but, I don’t really know who they are so, it isn’t that interesting. I like the video but, it is just two dudes talking about things I don’t get the reference to, so the video isn’t that interesting to me as a whole. The most interesting parts of the video are when he is actually interacting with the guitar and showing different ways you can play it. He even took off the one of the strings and re-tuned it for a different effect.
