Pizza Party

The pizza party on Friday the 13th was actually pretty informative.  Who knew that many of the professors had so much going on in their lives and have produced so much!  Watching them as they showcased their artwork and trips around the globe inspired me to do more with my work.  Their determination in their projects really made me think about what I plan on doing in my future and to be honest, I’m really excited for it now.  Before, I was a bit skeptical about becoming an artist when I grew up.  After seeing so many of their accomplishments, it has motivated me to keep going and be as bold as I can be.  I shouldn’t care what critics think about my work, as long as I am happy doing what I love to do.  I’m also really glad that I can actually work with something in the creative arts.  My favorite presentations of the evening were Jimmy Luu and my photography professor, Sybil Miller.  I was fascinated by Jimmy Luu’s use of minimal design in his graphic design and I was impressed with all that he has worked on.  I was also very impressed by my photography professor’s video.  “Alexander’s Elephants”, in my opinion was truly great.  Her use of visuals was perfect with the music and created an oriental vibe.  It was perfect. I am truly grateful to be able to contact these wonderful professors during the year and I am lucky to have one of them as my own teacher.  Overall, I believe the pizza party was a success.  It was not only informative, it was motivating.
