Nothing means everything — reflection of the shelter project

Sometime nothing means everything, that’s how I feel about my project when I first time talk with my teammates.Shelter means an object protect people away from risk. However,it could be physical and it also could be mental. People like to use different roles to represent themselves, for example, I’m the children for my family but I’m also the boy friend for my girl. I play as two different roles at same times, but both roles can’t define a complete “Weiyi”. IMAG0624
In most of Asian culture, element is a way people define the world. Water, Fire and Ground(soil) is the three basic element. it should be included in our definition of life, and it also the first series of character we decided to put on the backside of mask. On the other hand, I have asked Zac about “what is the most important roles for a person?” He think be a nice kids make his parents proud is important role for him, also be a good model for his children is same. So we decided to put “Son-Man-Woman” in the Mask.word
We also get suggestion from Tristan, A boy with love all around in his life, decided to put a love star on three masks. That’s how our life made up “Element-Responsibility-Environment-love”.IMAG0619
Finally, we are still hiding inside of the mental shelter to keep our brilliant life, that’s our choice, that’s also represent our life.IMAG0599
Nothing people can see in front of mask, but everything we have inside of the shelter.

(Answer for the question:
1. This one is successful for our group, the concept I have explained in my paragraph already it use nothing to represent everything ,and the mask is a good way to show the design.
2. The budget is 17 dollars total, and we have no extra cost(not include mental cost).
3. Workload equal? It spent me 1 hours to practice hand writing Chinese character, also write on the backside of mask is hard.
4. My strength is design everything simple and made our life simple, I made it! But weakness is clear — too simple.
5. Our roles have explained in paragraph top already, I’m the design for the information hidden in the mask.
6. This one is super weird, try another one unless you have better idea to represent your life inside of mask.
